Slalom Build‘s Ian Cook grew up in a house that his family built in Kenai, Alaska, population 7,800. “I spent my formative years hauling wood in wagons and pumping water. That certainly had a motivating factor for me in progressing my career.” Now he’s a general manager at Seattle’s Slalom Build, the “Build as a Service” or BaaS company that shepherds other companies through the software engineering process.
