You’ll learn from Slalom Build experts with years of industry experience crafting inspiring software and technology. They’ll guide you through custom curriculum designed to give you the practical skills and real experience you need to excel.

The Academies
Currently, we offer the following multi-week, intensive academy programs:
Quality Engineering
Got an eye for perfection and an aptitude for software quality? Passionate about solving problems and have a solid background in code? Then you’ll thrive in the QE Academy. Working knowledge of at least one modern programming language (JavaScript, Python, C#, Java, TypeScript, etc.) is required.
Platform Engineering
If you’re inspired to build the platforms that software is run on and driven to spark joy through technology, then welcome to the Platform Engineering (PE) Academy. Ideally, you’ve played around a bit with CI/CD systems and have experience in a programming and scripting language like Python, Shell, or Bash.

Are you ready to build modern data platforms, data pipelines, intelligent applications, dashboards, and analytics layers designed to provide decision makers with essential insights? If you have a software engineering background and an understanding of development and/or databases, then you’ve found your place in the DE Academy.
